Photography workshops launch in picturesque Tollesbury in Essex

Loft A Photographics are about to launch a range of digital photography workshops that are aimed towards beginner and intermediate photographers that want to take their photography skills further.

The courses are run by Essex based photographers Glyn Ridgers and Jonathan Wignall who are extremely passionate about photography and want to share their skills with likeminded people.

Glyn Ridgers www.glynridgersphotography.com is a fun and enthusiastic photographer known for his creative art approach to photography and has lent this style to various magazines and corporate clients.

Jonathan Wignall is a landscape photographer and is masterful at monochrome and abstract images, with his laid back and calming style he makes the students feel very welcome and comfortable.

Absolute Beginners 1-Day Workshop:

Opening the box & charging for the first time,

Camera menu settings

Taking pictures; settings/focusing/shooting/playback

Memory cards, filing and storage

What next – downloading & printing

Includes 2 hours practical

Lunch in Loft Cafe

Taking Control 1-Day Workshop:

Gain control – the benefits of coming off automatic

Camera settings – Aperture/Shutter priority

Exposure control – ISO/Aperture/Shutter

Explanation of – Quality settings/White   Balance/Focusing/Metering/Histogram

Composition

Includes 2 hours practical

Lunch in Loft Cafe

The courses are run from their studio in the Victorian sail lofts in Tollesbury along the banks of the river Blackwater and amongst the salt marshes where the students have a few hours classroom based lessons then lunch in the delightful loft cafe – Tea by the Sea and then out and about to put the new skills into practice…

It is a fun way of learning and as the workshops hold a maximum of 6 students you are always going to receive the tutor’s full attention.

The workshops are £75.00 per person and include lunch as well as tea and coffee throughout the day and everyone will get to post one of their images on the Loft A Photographics students gallery and leave with a goody bag and some new friends.
